AAP minister Raghav Chadha undergoes major eye surgery in UK

Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Tuesday said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha underwent a major eye surgery in the United Kingdom as his condition was critical and there was a possibility of blindness.The minister added that Chadha will join the ongoing Lok Sabha election campaigning once he is fully recovered. “Raghav Chadha has undergone a major eye surgery in the UK. It is said that his condition was serious and there was a possibility of blindness. As soon as he gets better, he will come back to India and join us in the election campaigning,” Bharadwaj said.His party sources reported that the leader had a vitrectomy surgery aimed at preventing retinal detachment in his eye, according to party sources. Chadha has been in London since March 8 owing to his eye complications.His absence from politics comes at a time when AAP is facing political turmoil triggered by AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest in connection with Delhi liquor scam. Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal has since then been holding campaigns and roadshows in the city.
