In West Bengal, field surveyor arrested for molestation of junior

KOLKATA: A 38-year-old field surveyor employed with a central government body that conducts periodic socio-economic surveys in Bengal was arrested for allegedly molesting a junior employee on numerous occasions during field trips.
The 25-year-old complainant alleged that during field surveys, where she used to accompany her superior, Madhusudan Mondal, she was harassed and touched inappropriately on multiple occasions.
She had even lodged a complaint with the office, which had shifted Mondal from the department's office at the CGO Complex to another office in Howrah.
Dissatisfied with the outcome, she lodged a complaint with Bidhannagar North police station, which arrested him from his office on Wednesday.
