BANKURA: Following India's defeat to Australia in the World Cup final, a young man, aged 23 and from Bankura district in West Bengal, took his own life.
The tragic incident occurred late Sunday near a Cinema Hall in Beliatore police station area. Rahul Lohar, employed at a local clothing store, had taken the day off to watch the match. Distraught by India's defeat, he was found hanging in his room, according to his brother-in-law Uttam Sur.
