• Delhi airport faces power outage, boarding and check-ins affected

  • A power disruption was reported at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport for ten to fifteen minutes on Monday, that impacted boarding and check-in services. Several passengers reported on social media that counters or Digi Yatra facilities halted its operations for nearly thirty minutes. A fault at the airport’s power grid resulted in the power outage. The electricity supply was later restored and normal operations resumed soon after.Of the three terminals Delhi airport has, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 cater exclusively to domestic flights, whereas Terminal 3 handles operations of both domestic and international flights. The national capital’s airport has a capacity to handle 40 million, 15 million and 45 million passengers in T1, T2 and T3 terminal respectively.
