Kolkata: The 16 patients admitted to the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO), who had complained of blurry vision post cataract surgeries at Metiabruz Super Speciality Hospital, are responding well to treatment and many have already got their vision back. “All the 16 are responding well to the conservative treatment. While some are already able to see, we are hopeful of a positive outcome for the rest,” said a senior health official.
On Friday, a team from the Central Medical Store (CMS) collected samples of the saline solution used on the patients, post the cataract surgery, for investigation.tnn
