Kolkata: With no rain for a day in the city, mercury climbed up on Friday. The Met office has predicted sparse rain for Kolkata in the next few days till it gets revived next week. However, despite a rising trend, mercury is unlikely to shoot above the normal mark, said Met officials.
Several spells of rain had pushed the maximum temperature below 30 degrees Celsius in the past three days.It rose to 32.1 degrees Celsius on Friday.
“But there are chances of rain revival by the middle of next week,” said H R Biswas, head of the RMC’s weather section.
