Kolkata: Eight years after a senior citizen was murdered at her residence in Kasba’s Tagore Park (Naskarhat), her son-in-law — the mastermind — and a hired killer, Niyaz Ahmed, have been sentenced to life imprisonment by a fast track court in Alipore. Ironically, the son-in-law, Sunil Singh Chauhan, was the complainant in the case along with his wife.The court found both guilty of robbery and murder. A fine of Rs 10,000 each, has been slapped on them, stated cops. On Jan 4, 2016, Kamala Rajbangshi was found dead in her ransacked home and Rs 20,000 and other valuables were missing.
