3 kids injured as hook used to pluck guavas touches live wire

Kolkata: Two children, Pridipta Kar (12) and Rupam Mondal (5), were injured and a third child, Abir Mondal (8), suffered partial hearing loss when the hook at the end of an iron rod they were using to pluck guavas touched an overhead wire. The incident took place in the Haridevpur area on Thursday.
Pridipta and Rupam are being treated at M R Bangur Hospital, where their condition is stated to be stable but not completely out of danger.Rupam and Abir are siblings and Pridipta is their friend. “The rod touched an 11-KV high-tension wire,” said an officer. tnn
