Kolkata: A team from CID, which has started reinvestigating the BJP functionary Manish Shukla murder case, visited the Dum Dum correctional home on Saturday to question an accused there. An officer said the role of goon Subodh Singh was being probed, along with that of his aide, Roshan Singh alias Tantia, who was taken into custody from a Bihar jail.
A CID officer confirmed they had written to Beur jail in Bihar for information on some suspects and might travel there again for questioning. They will also seek CCTV footage of Singh in both Bengal and Bihar correctional homes to identify those he met there.
The state CID had earlier decided to move Calcutta High Court, challenging a lower court decision to acquit Singh in Shukla murder case.
