Durgapur: A man killed his nine-month-old son and died by suicide as he jumping in front of the Asansol-Burdwan passenger train near 112 rail gate of Durgapur railway station in West Burdwan on Saturday. Police said Aabir Ruidas (40) of Ruidaspara threw his baby Sujan onto the floor following an argument with his wife.
Ex-councillor Ankita Choudhury said the couple’s relatives rushed to the house after being informed of the incident and took the baby to Durgapur hospital.The child was in critical condition and was referred to Burdwan Medical College and Hospital. He died on the way.
