Kolkata: The body of a man was found hanging from an advertisement hoarding outside the Lake Mall on Sunday morning. Locals discovered the body and informed the cops.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the man is a local flower trader. Cops said the victim, Bisudeb Halder, was suffering from depression for the last few days. Abhijit Barik, an employee of the flower shop that Halder owned said he had talked to Halder even on Saturday night.
Halder’s wife Sankari said, “We have a five-year-old son and ailing parents. There was no financial stress. I have no idea why he took his life.” Cops have sent the body for post-mortem. A probe is on.
