Kolkata: A 19-year-old resident of Narayanpur, Hatif Mondal, drowned in a water body inside Eco Urban Village near New Town’s Eco Park on Monday afternoon. Mondal was visiting the place with five friends when he fell in the water body. Eco Park police and park authorities fished out his body three hours later. Cops interrogated Mondal’s friends and scoured CCTV footage to check whether the fall was accidental or he was pushed.No official complaint has been lodged. tnn
