Kolkata: Jadavpur University has reconstituted its anti-ragging committee and anti-ragging squad by reducing the number of members.
While the earlier anti-ragging committee had 33 members, the newly formed body will have 27. Similarly, the anti-ragging squad that had 56 members will now have 19 members.
Officiating VC Bhaskar Gupta said, “The number of members has been reduced to make the committee and squad more dynamic.Moreover, it becomes difficult to conduct meetings if there are so many members.” tnn
