Thick clouds blanket Kolkata, rainfall likely in other south Bengal districts

As pleasant weather continues in Kolkata and other areas of south Bengal, the weather office has predicted light to moderate rainfall in the southern parts on Tuesday, which will continue till Thursday.
According to the weather office, there is a possibility of heavy downpours in Midnapore and Jhargram on Tuesday and Wednesday as well. Besides, torrential rains are expected over Hooghly and East Burdwan this week. The minimum temperature in Kolkata on Tuesday will hover around 26.8 degrees Celsius.
North Bengal may also receive heavy rain in the next 24 hours, with maximum rainfall likely in Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar and light to moderate rain in Malda and Dinajpur.
Meanwhile, the Bay of Bengal has been rough owing to heavy rains for the past few days. Tourists and fishermen have also been prohibited from venturing into the deep sea as the sea will remain rough till July 25, the weather office informed.
