• CISCE speaks with foreign universities to give weightage to ISC students to skip one or two semesters of UG programmes

  • KOLKATA: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has taken an initiative speaking with the foreign universities to give weightage to ISC students so that they can skip one or two semesters of the undergraduate programmes, said CISCE chief executive and secretary Joseph Emmanuel.

    On Tuesday a principals' meet was organized at Heritage School where during his address Emmanuel said, "We have started discussing with the foreign universities because we teach so much in ISC level that they don't need to study again in undergraduate level.If, foreign universities will give the weightage then they can skip ag least one or two semesters which means they can save at least 25 lakh for each semester."

    Council has sent proposals to several foreign universities across globe including UK and US and started speaking with the university organizations too for examining ISC course curriculum so that it could be recognized which is equivalent to the first year UG programme.
