Rain expected in south Bengal districts in next 48 hours, fishing prohibited temporarily

Although Kolkata and other parts of south Bengal are experiencing rainfall deficit in July, mild rainfall have somewhat given respite from blistering heat.
The capital city and rest of the southern districts are expected to receive rainfall even today. Besides, fishing has been temporarily prohibited owing to rough sea surface.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department also said that light to moderate rain is forecast in all the districts of North Bengal for the next 48 hours, following which heavy downpours will intensify on Saturday.
