‘Block raids’ to curb night crimes across Bidhannagar

Kolkata: More than 80 persons were arrested for disorderly conduct and unsafe driving in a special drive undertaken by Bidhannagar Commissionerate to keep a check on night crimes between 9 pm on Saturday and 1 am on Sunday.
According to cops, the drive they have named ‘block raids’, was conducted under the supervision of senior officers. Based on intelligence, cops barged into criminal dens and set up naka posts across the city to nab offenders.tnn
