Yatri Sathi AC cabs from airport to cost 70 more from today in Kolkata

There will be no extra fee for non-AC yellow Yatri Sathi cabs KOLKATA: Passengers booking AC Yatri Sathi cabs at the airport will have to pay Rs 70 extra per trip from Friday with the airport authorities now charging parking fee on the terminal premises. The decision was taken on July 25 at a meeting between the airport authorities, the agency manning parking, Bidhannagar cops and the company providing software support to Yatri Sathi taxi service.
While Uber, Ola and Snap E include a fee of approximately Rs 100 for parking in their fare, the airport authorities did not charge parking fee for Yatri Sathi cabs till Thursday.
"The changes in the fare system are set to reflect from Friday. We have also segregated the booking windows of AC and non-AC Yatri Sathi cabs. For those who book cabs by themselves, we have our representatives to tell them about the new fare structure," said an officer.
But there will be no extra fee for non-AC yellow cabs booked under Yatri Sathi app.
"We are charging the AC Yatri Sathi cabs less than what other privately managed app operators pay," said Raju PR of Omega enterprises, the agency managing vehicle parking at the airport.
