Kolkata: The New Market Police has arrested one Irfan Khan (31), an employee of a bar on Chowringhee Road, for allegedly molesting a female staffer of another bar in central Kolkata.
The complainant alleged that the accused — a resident of VIP Nagar in Anandapur — molested her in front of his workplace on July 31 and snatched her mobile phone after stalking her for the past 15 months.She had allegedly asked him to stay away from her in the past.
The accused, who had been charged under multiple sections of the BNS, was produced at a local court on Thursday. Probe was underway, cops said. tnn
