Kolkata: The Bengal cabinet on Monday decided to shift a 112-MW solar power plant from Dadanpatrabar in East Midnapore’s Mandarmoni to Garbeta in West Midnapore.
The plant is located where the Tajpur deep sea port is coming up. It will be built at Rs 700 crore, for which a German agency is providing aid.
Meanwhile, the state cabinet also decided to appoint people in 154 posts, which included 125 engineers under urban development department and some under KMC.Also, 15 teachers would be appointed under madrasa department and 14 doctors under health department. tnn
