Kolkata: The Enforcement Directorate (ED), probing a multi-crore gaming app scam, conducted searches at a residential complex near Kalikapur in Kolkata on Tuesday .
The ED team reached the complex in Kalikapur early in the morning and went inside an office-cum-residence on the second floor of a building inside the complex. While ED officials did not divulge details, sources said that investors were duped by nearly Rs 100 crore.App operators converted investors’ money into foreign currencies and sent that to China through hawala routes. The Kalikapur office served as a hub for these suspicious transactions. TNN
