Kolkata: Police have stepped up security across the city. All police stations have been instructed to visit guest houses and hotels in their jurisdictions, prepare reports on guests and share them daily with Lalbazar and the Special Branch. Cops have been asked to ensure Bangladeshi boarders are “neither harassed nor are they made to feel unsafe”.
Security at the Bangladesh deputy high commission has been tightened eith the deployment of 20 extra personnel.Since Tuesday morning, an ACP has been in charge of the security there. —Dwaipayan Ghosh
