12 Kolkata: Patients and their families at govt hospitals said while they supported the doctors in the fight for justice, they also pleaded with them to consider their plight.
Ashraf Ali, who visited NRS Hospital for his sister’s treatment on Friday, said, “My elder sister needs an urgent liver surgery. Last week, we were told to take her to RG Kar Medical College from Sagore Dutta Hospital, but I could not admit her there,” Ali said.“I brought her to NRS Hospital on Friday. Though medical services are available, very few doctors are on duty. Since morning, I have been waiting for a doctor who will examine my sister before her admission, but yet to find any.”
