In-form Jesin TK gave Bino George’s unbeaten team a 26th-minute lead at home. A brace from Edwin Vanspaul (57 & 80) and another goal from Ajad Saheem T (75) sealed the deal for the red-and-gold youngsters.
With their eighth win in 9 matches, East Bengal moved to the top of Group B table with 25 points, assuring themselves of a place in the Super Six stage.
Bhawanipore SC (22 points from 9 matches) and Calcutta Customs (21 points from 10 matches) are the other two teams staying in hunt of making the championship round.
