Kolkata: There has been a sharp decline in the number of dengue cases this year compared to last year’s tally in Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) areas of Salt Lake and Rajarhat-Gopalpur. According to a BMC data, only 36 dengue cases have been reported in areas under its limits this year so far. Last year, 774 dengue cases were recorded in August alone and the total number of cases till this time of the year stood at 850.This year, only 10 dengue cases have been recorded in August so far. tnn
