Kolkata: Former Bengal spinner Sourashis Lahiri was named the bowling coach of Team ‘B’ in the upcoming four-team Duleep Trophy tournament scheduled to be held in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh and M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru next month. Lahiri will thus be working along with former Saurashtra batter Shitanshu Kotak, who will be the chief coach of the side.
It will be advantage Lahiri as Team ‘B’ will be led by Bengal opener Abhimanyu Easwaran.The team also features Bengal pacer Mukesh Kumar along with Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja.
The 42-year-old former Bengal coach had previously being selected for National Cricket Academy (NCA) conducted mentorship programme earlier this year where he got the opportunity to sharpen his skills working with former India coach Rahul Dravid and NCA chief VVS Laxman. tnn
