  • Kolkata: The call for the student rally has come as a matter of concern for aspirants who have been waiting to appear for the CSIR-UGC NET exams from June.

CSIR UGC NET exams started on June 18 and were cancelled the next day due to an alleged paper leak. National Testing Agency had declared revised dates — the exams are to be held between Aug 21 and Sep 4.There some exams on Aug 27, too, in two shifts. The first shift will be held between 9 am and 12 pm and second will be held between 3 pm and 6 pm.

The students who have exams on that day, including philosophy and language subjects, are now anticipating a huge disruption. “We had our exams cancelled earlier. The last thing we need is another round of disruption, which might mean that we lose this chance as well,” said an aspirant, adding that though she supports the protest but not at the “cost of disrupting my career”. tnn
