Kolkata: Calcutta HC on Wednesday gave nod for filing a plea for an ED probe against RG Kar ex-principal Sandip Ghosh for alleged financial irregularities.
Counsel for petitioner Akhtar Ali moved the court of Justice Rajarshi Bharadwaj, praying for an ED probe. Counsel Susmita Saha Dutta moved the division bench of CJ T S Sivagnanam and Justice Hiranmay Bhattacharyya.
She challenged the state’s SIT, which she called an “eye wash” and urged for early hearing of the application. —Subrata Chattoraj
