Kolkata: The parents of the RG Kar trainee doctor, who was brutally raped and murdered, have again alleged that a conspiracy had been hatched to tamper with evidence in connection to their daughter’s death.
“There is definitely a conspiracy to destroy evidence, which is why the real culprits are yet to be arrested,” the victim’s father said on Thursday.“We do not know the password or pattern to unlock my daughter’s phone. If the investigation agency manages to unlock it, significant clues can be obtained,” her mother said.
While speaking to the reporters on Thursday evening, the victim’s father also couldn’t hide his disappointment with the investigation. “No result has come out of the inquiry that is being done. Nine to 10 days have already passed since CBI took over the case. We hope we will get the results, as well as justice, as soon as possible. That will bring peace to my daughter’s soul. No one from the department or the college cooperated with us. The entire department is responsible for my daughter’s murder. We suspect that some persons of the department are involved in the crime,” he said.
The grieving parents have made an impassioned plea for justice, urging that their daughter’s death should not be politicized. “There should be no politics in connection with my daughter’s death. We don’t want to hear about the Supreme Court, High Court, or any investigation agencies like the CID or CBI. We seek only justice as soon as possible,” the mother said.
The parents also condemned the circulation of fake news, derogatory comme-nts, and inappropriate images of their daughter on social media and called for strict action against such posts.
