Kolkata: Chief secretary B P Gopalika has submitted an action taken report to the NGT, outlining the state’s ongoing efforts to clean and rejuvenate the Adi Ganga. The report details the phase-wise dredging, cleaning, and fencing initiatives to prevent pollution in the river, with specific measures like resuming dredging beneath six metro stations. The state reported that all lands earmarked for sewage treatment plants and sewage pumping stations were now free of encroachment.
