Kolkata: A young bus passenger’s inappropriate comment on the RG Kar incident on Friday caused an uproar.
In a video, the youth can be seen trying to hide behind his bag. His fellow passengers alleged he started commenting from the moment he boarded the bus in central Kolkata and even questioned why the woman had studied with govt funds. This led to a protest from others and he called those videographing “thieves”.Police arrived and took the youth away.
In another incident, a woman returning from a protest at Shyambazar to Behala alleged the bus conductor spoke to her indecently and threatened her. She dialled 100 and Thakurpukur Police Guard stepped in.
