Kolkata: With private firms increasingly using chartered accountants for audit of their non-financial performances compliance, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is looking to focus more on environmental sustainability.
On Friday, ICAI Eastern India Regional Council started its two-day conference in Kolkata.
ICAI president Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal said: “In non-financial audits, evaluation of green measures, environmental sustainability and compliance with ESG (environmental, social and governance) norms is a major area.” ICAI is also introducing AI to digitise work.
