Kolkata: A 25-year old was arrested on charges of molesting a schoolgirl near Namchhara village under Joypur police station in Bankura on Sunday, reports Falguni Banerjee. A case has been registered under the Pocso Act and BNS, and police have started a probe.
Police said that the girl was returning home from a function on a bicycle on Sunday afternoon when the youth followed her on a motorbike and molested her.When the girl started shouting, he fled. Joypur police identified the miscreant and arrested him within eight hours of the incident.
