  • KOLKATA: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has so far quizzed around a dozen Kolkata cops in the RG Kar Hospital rape and murder probe, and is likely to summon a few more from the local Tala police station. CBI officers indicated that the next round of questioning would focus on claims that "outsiders" were present at the crime spot when the cops first got there.

In another move, CBI has sought court permission for a polygraph test on Anup Dutta, an assistant sub-inspector alleged to be close to arrested prime suspect and police volunteer Sanjay Roy, officials said Tuesday.

CBI had been recording Kolkata cops' statements on the method of the probe, sequence of events and the time of receiving the first call from hospital authorities.
