Kolkata: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) — that was formed by Lalbazar to probe the Aug 14 RG Kar vandalism — will now also investigate the cases related to the Aug 27 Nabanna March. The 15-member SIT will be expanded to include members from south and central divisions
A total of 18 FIRs have been lodged in both the incidents. So far, 50 persons have been arrested in the RG Kar vandalism and over 110 others examined.As many as 151 were held for vandalism duringNabanna March.
The cops are likely to file a report on the RG Kar vandalism in court on Sept 5. Raids were on to nab a few who have had“ultra-left’ links .
