Kolkata: Former principal of Presidency College Sanjib Ghosh passed away on Wednesday at his Tollygunge residence. Ghosh, who was a chemistry professor, was also a long-time head of the department.
He was 74.
The current head of chemistry department at Presidency, Arnab Halder, said, “Professor Sanjib Ghosh was the principal of Presidency College from 2008 to 2010 and the head of the chemistry department probably from 1994 to 2008.Ghosh was a professor emeritus till 2016. His contribution to the department is immense. During his tenure as the department head, biochemistry was introduced as an honours subject.” tnn
