  • Kolkata: On Thursday, teachers of different medical colleges are expected to share their views on what ails the system. In an initiative by IMA West Bengal, faculty members have been invited by the doctors’ body to hear from them of the rot that is being injected by the infamous ‘health syndicate’. Senior faculty members, including some principals and vice-principals, are expected to be part of the convention called by the state branch of IMA.

“Currently, there is anarchy in various medical colleges with allegations of financial scam, examination system failure and a culture of threat. We want to hear from the teachers about the hurdles they face in enforcing clean administration and a congenial educational environment, and find solutions together,” said a state IMA representative.

“The North Bengal lobby is spoiling the health education system and we want to discuss ways of preventing it,” said an IMA Bengal official. tnn
