Kolkata: The Kolkata Police on Wednesday said it has created space for 20 CISF personnel to stay inside RG Kar Hospital premises to provide 24×7 security. The announcement came a day after the Union ministry of home affairs filed an application before the SC, seeking better accommodation and facilities for CISF personnel stationed at the hospital and hostels of resident doctors.
Lalbazar sources said another three accommodations close to the hospital have been identified and will be handed over to CISF at the earliest. “We need some time to prepare these accommodations,” said a joint commissioner. tnn
