• KMDA to repair Samprity flyover

  • Kolkata: The Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) plans to replace the damaged expansion joints of Samprity flyover. The 6.8 km long flyover, the second longest on the fringes of the city after Maa flyover, connects Jinjira Bazar with Batanagar.

    The authorities have recently got approval from the state urban development department to get funds for replacing the damaged expansion joints.As per plans, 12 expansion joints of the flyover which have been found to be in damaged condition will be replaced. Earlier, the authorities conducted an inspection following which the damaged expansion joints were identified.
