CBI at RG Kar to reconstruct chain of events again

Kolkata: A team of CBI officers, probing the rape and murder of the 31-year-old PGT intern reached the R G Kar Hospital’s Platinum Jubilee building on Friday to reconstruct the chain of events again. The agency, which may file a status report with the Supreme Court on Monday, went straight to the scene of crime.
On Aug 9, a number of people were spotted outside seminar hall where the victim’s body was lying.
The investigators from the special crime branch, who have already spoken to people who were suspected to be present at the spot, wanted to corroborate their positions.
CBI also sent a letter to R G Kar asking them to give details about biomedical waste recycling. It has come across complaints where the waste was found lying at dump sites of Barrackpore and Budge Budge municipalities.
