ED grills Sandip kin on answer scripts, land docus

Kolkata: The Enforcement Directorate, probing the financial irregularities at R G Kar Hospital, on Thursday questioned the sister-in-law of Sandip Ghosh, former principal of R G Kar Medical College. The agency had earlier conducted searches at her residences in a housing society near the airport.
Earlier, both the CBI and ED had conducted searches at the flats registered under the name of the woman and her husband.
During searches, the agency officials recovered copies of answer sheets of medical examinations of R G Kar Medical College.
Junior doctors had alleged that Ghosh used to run a nexus that was involved in giving better grades to students against money. They also alleged that meritorious students scored low in the college examinations while a section of students performed exceptionally well. They accused Ghosh of running a nexus which manipulated answers, leaked questions against money to provide better grades.
The ED questioned her about answer scripts and property deeds and land documents they found from the two flats. They also wanted to know why Ghosh had kept his documents in a flat owned by her.
