Kolkata: CM Mamata Banerjee will visit the Sreebhumi puja pandal at Lake Town on Tuesday evening to inaugurate the ‘festival’ that is being held along with the puja. Titled ‘Utsabe usarita suchana’, the CM will kick off the festival but not inaugurate the idol that will be opened for public viewing a day later, according to state fire services minister Sujit Bose, also the chief patron of Sreebhumi.“The CM will not inaugurate the idol. Instead, she will inaugurate our puja festivities at 7 pm on Tuesday. The idol will be thrown open for the public at 4 pm on Wednesday, that is Mahalaya,” said Bose. tnn
