• Now, Sagore Dutta joins RG Kar on junior doctors’ protest list

  • Kolkata: Junior doctors across Bengal came out on streets on Sunday evening with torches, demanding justice for the R G Kar victim. This is their first such street rally after they lifted their Swasthya Bhavan sit-in on Sept 19.

    The rally also happened after the alleged assault on junior doctors at Sagore Dutta Hospital.“After 52 days of the crime we still wait for justice.

    Instead, we got the Sagore Dutta incident. Our movement will continue. This is our utsav,” said Aniket Mahata of West Bengal Junior Doctors’ Front (WBJDF) that had called the rally.

    While the R G Kar doctors marched till Shyambazar and those from CNMC till Gariahat, Medical College, NRS and IPGMER junior doctors marched from their respective campuses to converge at Esplanade.
