Kolkata: The Medical College Students Union (MCSU) has lodged a complaint of corruption in the hospital’s central lab, demanding an inquiry and stringent action against those involved in it.
Students have also raised an alarm over the presence of a tout syndicate on the campuses that allegedly ‘sells’ CCU beds or beds in ward in exchange of money.
According to the complaint lodged with the college principal, MCSU alleged misuse of govt kits for testing samples from private labs in the hospital’s central lab under the direction of RKS chairman Sudipta Roy.
This allegedly happened in collusion with a pathology technician, who works in the central lab.
TOI had earlier reported about the alleged corruption on the MCH campus similar to what was happening at R G Kar Medical College.
