KMC team visits Sandip home in Beleghata, ‘finds no deviation’

Kolkata: A KMC buildings department team on Monday went to former RG Kar principal Sandip Ghosh’s house in Beleghata to check for any irregularities in the construction of the four-storey house. According to a KMC buildings department official, the civic officials found no illegal construction there.
Last week, department officials from borough III visited the house and issued a notice in the name of Sandip Ghosh and his wife, Sangita Ghosh, based on a complaint by a structural engineer that parts of the four-storey building, particularly portions of the terrace, were built without sanction.“According to a report submitted by the visiting engineers, no deviation took place in the building,” said a senior official.
