Kolkata: Interim coach Bino George believes East Bengal FC are one win away from getting their ‘rhythm’ back as he begins the post Carles Cuadrat era with an away match against Jamshedpur FC on Saturday.
“I respect coach Carles for laying the foundation and his contribution over the past one-and-a-half seasons. One win in the ISL will help us get back the rhythm.
My job is to motivate the boys and bring the best out of them,” George — under whose tutelage the red-and-gold reserve team is leading the local league with an unbeaten run — said.
Cuadrat decided to step down as East Bengal coach following three successive defeats in the ISL’s 2024-2025 season.
“I have full faith in our players and their quality. They’ve been working very hard. Yes, the last three matches didn’t go our way and we made some mistakes. I know the boys can come back stronger. That’s what East Bengal is all about. They know their responsibilities well,” George added. tnn
