Kolkata: Three organisations of healthcare workers will march to the Bengal CBI headquarters in Salt Lake on Wednesday afternoon to express their dismay at the CBI’s charge sheet in the R G Kar rape-murder. The rally will begin around 3 pm from Karunamoyee.
“What has the CBI done? It took so long to file the charge sheet where only one person has been named despite the possibility of involvement of more than one person.
We want to ask the CBI if this was done with any particular intention or motive,” said physician Sajal Biswas, general secretary of Service Doctors’ Forum (SDF).
In addition to SDF, the Medical Service Centre led by physician Biplab Chandra and Bhaswati Mukherjee, secretary, Nurses Unity, will be participating in the rally to the CGO complex.
The three organisations have been in the forefront of the movement following the R G Kar rape and murder incident on Aug 9.
