Kolkata: The decomposed body of a man in his 40s was found floating in a canal at AA Block in Salt Lake on Tuesday morning. Locals said even after cops were informed about the body, there was a delay in removing the body from the water as there was an alleged argument among cops of Bidhannagar North, Lake Town and Maniktala police stations over jurisdiction.
Finally, Bidhannagar North police removed the body allegedly after three hours and sent the body for post-mortem. The identity of the deceased is yet to be established, cops said. TNN
