Shah to attend Bengal BJP’s membership drive launch

Kolkata: Union home minister Amit Shah will attend several programmes in Bengal on Sunday, including the state BJP’s membership drive event. He was initially slated to come on Thursday but postponed it due to Cyclone Dana, reports Rohit Khanna. “He will reach Kolkata either on Saturday night or Sunday morning. We are yet to receive the final schedule from his office,” said a Bengal BJP senior.
After attending a BSF programme at the Petrapole border, Shah will head to Arambag to attend a programme by the ministry of cooperation. In the afternoon, he will attend Bengal BJP’s membership drive event. Bengal BJP president Sukanta Majumdar, Suvendu Adhikari and other netas will attend at EZCC.
The nationwide membership drive began on Oct 2, but wad delayed in Bengal.
