Kolkata: Several hospitals extended their OPD hours on Saturday for patients who could not keep their Friday appointments due to heavy rain. This could continue on Monday as well. Some of Friday’s surgeries have also been rescheduled.
“We remained open as long as there were patients,” said Ayanabh DebGupta, regional COO, Manipal Hospitals (East). Desun Hospital deferred OPD closing time by two-three hours, said Shaoli Dutta, director.
“We are providing ambulance services,” said Supriyo Chakrabarty, group adviser, BP Poddar Hospital.
